SS Marked Wooden Box

The original purpose of this most unusual and beautifully hand made box is clearly open to debate, although the inner construction and small holes to the underside may indicate that it once contained a music box mechanism. Whatever it's original purpose, the hinged lid has an inset metal SS insignia, whilst the front has a beautiful hand carved acorn and oak leaf panel. Amazingly an RZM label is firmly attached to the underside, leading to speculation that this item may have been sold to raise funds for the party.
A nice item for display in its own right, or to use as storage for other SS items.
