Both the first and second model subordinate daggers are equipped with black painted or lacquered grips which are subject to chipping and wear, the grip on this piece however is in excellent condition, having a correctly pinned insignia with the majority of the blue enamel remaining. Pommel retains much of its silvering, as does the “art deco” Crossguard with eagle and mobile swastica.
