Third Reich Luftwaffe Officers Dagger-SMF

This dagger has the benefit of a personalisation on the reverse crossguard, appearing to be “V.Reeken”. All fittings in excellent condition, the crossguard eagle having some loss of definition due to wear from the owners hand during the war years. Pumpkin coloured grip has a barely visible crack near the ferrule, and tight, twisted silver wire in the spiral grooves. These grooves have darkened over the years and appear to have residue of dirt and grime, which could be simply removed by the next owner if required. Blade appears to be a plated variety in excellent condition with no damage to the edges and with a needle point tip. The “seated king” SMF logo, and a number 5 waffenampt is present on the upper reverse ricasso. Scabbard has no dents or loss of finish, with areas of dark age toning in places. Bands and rings are securely in place, having prominent oak leaf decoration. Flush mount throat screws are present on either side of the upper scabbard area.
