Crossguard, pommel and backstrap in near perfect condition with all finish remaining. Backstrap has an unusual “knurled” finish. Operating mortice button with red felt in the slot. Bakelite grips have countersunk screws and nuts. Mear mint blade retains 95% of its factory bluing and has only the most minimal signs of sharpening. Matching numbers stamped to obverse ricasso and adjacent scabbard upper. Upper spine dated 1939, reverse ricasso “Coppel G.m.b.H.”
Undented scabbard retains all its anodising and has a waffenampt to the ball.
